As part of its commitment to supporting sustainable shrimp farming, PT Alter Trade Indonesia paid a visit to the BBPBAP Jepara. This visit served as an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration in ensuring the sustainability of traditional black tiger shrimp farming.

Through this visit, ATINA and BBPBAP Jepara discussed and shared perspectives on the importance of maintaining the sustainability of organic black tiger shrimp (Ecoshrimp), which has long been recognized as a high-value fishery commodity. Traditional shrimp farming not only holds economic value but is also an integral part of farming practices that harmonize with the environment and the lives of coastal communities.

In addition to addressing environmental sustainability, this visit is part of a joint effort to promote the regeneration of small-scale farmers. The presence of the next generation of farmers is considered crucial for ensuring the future sustainability of black tiger shrimp farming, particularly amid the various challenges currently facing the fisheries sector.

This activity reflects ATINA’s commitment to building collaborations with various stakeholders to support sustainable shrimp farming, maintain product quality, and strengthen the role of farming communities within Indonesia’s fisheries supply chain.

Through collaboration with BBPBAP Jepara, it is hoped that the sustainability of black tiger shrimp farming can be maintained and provide long-term benefits for the environment, coastal communities, and a brighter future for the fisheries sector.
